The Milford Education Foundation has awarded more than $5,000 in grants to Milford public school teachers.
The Foundation received 29 grant applications representing nearly all of the city’s public schools. The nine grants will be used for projects and programs in the upcoming months for students in grades K-12.
Foundation President James Maroney said, “The enthusiasm from the teachers and administration in proposing innovative ways to enrich the students' educational experience has been tremendous. We hope to continue and expand our support of Milford’s teachers in their enrichment endeavors.”
An award ceremony recognizing grant recipients and highlighting their projects will be held at the end of the school year.
