Retailer will take over Jonathan Law gym for three days starting April 4

The Jonathan Law post prom committee has teamed up with the discount shopping group Retail 101 to raise funds for this year’s post prom. Beginning on April 4 Retail 101 will occupy the old gym at Jonathan Law High School, offering deeply discounted men’s and women’s clothing items for sale.

Hours for the three-day sale are as follows: Friday, April 4, 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, April 5, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, April 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash and all major credit cards will be accepted.

Committee Chair Elena Garet organized the event. “The support, cooperation and encouragement that we have received from our principal and the entire administration has been endless,” said Garet, also a junior parent.

Retail 101’s retail store is located out of Beacon Falls. It also travels for “trunk” shows, but according to the committee the retailer typically needs a 5,000 square foot area to accommodate all the clothes.

The post prom will be held on April 25 at the Shelton Sports Complex.
