Make a difference by donating a Teddy bear

“Make a Difference Day” is America’s largest day of service. People throughout the nation help to make the world a better place.

St. Mary School in MiIford has been part of this program for many years, and once again, the students will be collecting new Teddy bears to donate to the Milford Hospital Surgi-Center, emergency room and walk-in clinic.

Approximately 200 children have surgery there each year, and the donations will help them forget for a moment what they have gone through and hopefully put a smile on their faces. On Friday, Oct. 27, there will be a school wide collection, and on Saturday, Oct. 28, the school invites the public to donate a Teddy bear in the lobby of Milford Hospital between 10 and 11 p.m.
