Jonathan Law plans open house for 7th- and 8th-graders
Jonathan Law High School will host an open house for seventh and eighth grade students and their parents on Thursday, Oct. 15, beginning at 6 p.m.
The program will start in the auditorium with an introductory welcome presentation, followed by tours of the school, led by students and staff members. An activities fair will also be held in the gym throughout the evening to give future students the chance to learn about the activities and programs offered at Jonathan Law.
- Academics, (184 courses): A full complement of academic courses cover the traditional core subjects, along with music, art, business, technology and many other electives. An expanded offering of 17 Advanced Placement (AP) courses is gaining strength and helps students prepare for their post-secondary academic work. Support in the form of mathematics labs, reading labs, and faculty office hours are available to assist students of all abilities.
- Athletics, (18): A wide variety of athletic team offerings for both boys and girls; some have tryouts – others are ‘come one, come all.’
- Clubs, (22): Key Club, National Honor Society, Fishing Club, Unified Sports, Fencing, Drama Club, Book Club, and more.
