Operation Hope of Fairfield will host its annual Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 19, at the Country Club of Fairfield to raise money to directly support its work to provide food, shelter and support for the community’s neighbors in need. Webster Bank is the title sponsor for the event.
The golf classic includes 18 holes of golf, a BBQ buffet presented by lunch sponsor Integrated Print Solutions (IPS), cocktails, appetizers, carving stations, awards and an auction. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m, and tee-off is at 12:30 p.m.
The invitation to play individually or as part of a foursome is open, and business and individual sponsorships are available.
“This tournament is a way for everyone, whether you’re a scratch plater or can barely drive, to have a good time and raise money for Operation Hope’s programs,” said Golf Classic Co-Chair, Michael Fucigna. “We’re all in this together, to take on the challenge of a legendary course and support Operation Hope’s mission at the same time.” Golf Classic Co-Chair Ab Ingram added, “Every player and sponsor will be proud to have been able to make a difference in someone’s life. The Country Club of Fairfield has been very helpful in hosting this event on our behalf. We thank them for their hospitality.”
“The Golf Classic has become a fun and important annual event to support Operation Hope’s clients,” said Carla Miklos, executive director, Operation Hope. “Thanks to the generosity of the many people who make it successful, we are able to provide critical services and support for thousands of people, helping break the devastating cycle of homelessness. Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to experience positive and lasting change.”
