Boy Scouts can earn badges at CT Audubon
Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street will host a Boy Scout Badge Bonanza Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.
All Boy Scouts, Tigers, Bears and Webelos will have an opportunity to earn a new badge….or two. Connecticut Audubon Society’s teacher/naturalists will lead scouts on an exploratory hike through Connecticut Audubon Society’s Larsen Sanctuary, all while satisfying badge requirements.
The badges to be worked on are: Boy Scout — “Bird Study” (9 a.m.-noon); Webelos — “Into the Wild” and “Into the Woods” (9-10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m-noon); Bear — “Fur, Feathers and Ferns” (9-10 a.m. or 10:15-11:15 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.); Tiger — “Tiger in the Wild” (9-10 a.m. or 10:15-11:15 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)
Space is limited and advance registration is required. Cost is $10 per badge, per scout.
Scouts are advised to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle and insect repellent.
