Woman robbed while walking to bus stop at night

Milford police say a woman was robbed while she was walking to a Milford bus stop Friday, March 27, at about 11:30 p.m., and officers are working to find her attacker.
The robbery reportedly took place on the Boston Post Road near Milford Crossing Shopping Plaza, which is where WalMart is located.
Police said the victim was walking on the Boston Post Road to the bus stop near the shopping plaza when a man approached her. The suspect struck the victim in the head with an object and forcibly took her pocketbook, police said. The suspect was last seen running eastbound on the Boston Post Road, last seen behind Subway located at 1454 Boston Post Road, according to reports.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 5’8”, thin to medium build, wearing a “Champion” brand black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and shoes. He was wearing a glove on one of his hands, police said.
