Police arrested a woman from Maine on a warrant Oct. 16 for an incident Aug. 31, in which she allegedly struck police officers who were trying to help her.
According to a police report, Kimberly Carbone, 24, of Brownfield, Maine, was in Milford Aug. 31, at the intersection of New Haven Avenue and Gulf Street. Police were called to the scene and found that Carbone was intoxicated and could not care for herself. She was sent to Milford Hospital for a detoxification, police said.
“While at the hospital Carbone created a disturbance and attempted to strike hospital personnel,” police said in a prepared press release. “Carbone struck police officers who were attempting to restrain her.”
A warrant was later issued for Carbone’s arrest and she turned herself in. She was charged with breach of peace, interfering and two counts of assault on police. Carbone was held in police custody in lieu of $10,000 bond.
