Milford police arrested Tiarani Zaparta, 23, of East Haven for DUI on July 19 after a vehicle operated by Zaparta struck a parked police vehicle on New Haven Avenue.
During the investigation police found that Zaparta was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent her arrest, a breathalyzer test revealed that Zaparta had an elevated blood alcohol level.
Zaparta is charged with DUI, failure to drive right and driving with no insurance.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 14.
