The Milford Police Department will conduct graduation exercises honoring the graduates of the 2014 session of the Milford Police Academy on Firday, March 14 at 6 p.m.
The graduation ceremony will take place at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium – Parsons Government Center located at 70 West River Street in Milford.
According to a police department release, the program will honor a total of 35 officers representing Milford, Ansonia, East Haven, Greenwich, Monroe, New Milford, Norwalk, Old Saybrook, Seymour, Wallingford, West Hartford, West Haven, Wilton and Woodbridge Police Departments.
The 2014 Milford Police Academy session included 27 weeks of training in a variety of topic areas. Several awards which are based on academics, commitment and achievements will be presented to the graduates including three distinct awards; the Daniel Scott Wasson Award, the Arnold Markle Memorial Award and the Samuel Luciano Award.
