Police investigating residential burglary downtown

The Milford Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred at a River Street residence Sept. 13.

Police said that on Sept. 13, a resident found that entry was made to her home. The victim reported that her wallet and an undisclosed amount of money were taken. Investigation revealed that the victim’s bank debit card was used at two stores in Milford and Stratford. The victim’s wallet was recovered in a garbage can at the bus stop on North Broad Street near River Street in Milford.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 40 years old, approximately five foot five, thin, and wearing glasses, a black baseball hat, gray and black long sleeve shirt, jeans and carrying a black back pack.
