Police investigating Friday night gas station robbery

The Milford Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Shell Gas Station at 25 Bridgeport Avenue in Milford Friday night.

A preliminary investigation revealed that on April 4 at about 10:52 p.m. police received a complaint that a man wearing a black mask entered the store brandishing a handgun. The man took an undisclosed amount of money and several packs of Newport cigarettes before fleeing the store. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing a denim jacket.
