Milford man charged with exposing himself to children on bus

State police arrested a Milford man Sept. 2 for allegedly exposing himself to a bus filled with children while driving on I-95.

According to state police, on Aug. 19 at about 7:49 p.m., Troopers from Troop G – Bridgeport were dispatched to the I-95 northbound Milford rest area for a report of a man exposing himself to children while driving.

Troopers learned that the male suspect drove alongside a coach bus filled with 11- to 13-year-old children while exposing himself and looking at them as he masturbated, a police report states.

After speaking to witnesses and obtaining evidence, troopers identified the suspect as Robert M. Watts, 51, of Charles Street in Milford. Upon completing their investigation, troopers applied for an arrest warrant for Watts, which was granted by Milford Superior Court.

On Wednesday, Sept. 2, Troopers located Watts and took him into custody. He was transported to Troop G for processing and was held on $50,000 bond pending a court appearance today, Sept. 3.

He was charged with impairing the morals of children, breach of peace and public indecency.
