Man calls police on self, arrested for arson

Milford police arrested Scott Wolf, 28, of Milford on March 9 on multiple charges after they received several 911 calls from 285 Seaside Avenue that were later determined to be made by Wolf.

Police say they arrived on the scene and located Wolf exiting a vehicle with a GPS unit he allegedly took from the vehicle. Police then observed that a vehicle next to the one Wolf had exited was on fire. Wolf was later found in possession of property taken from the burning vehicle.

Detectives and Milford Fire Department officials determined that the vehicle was intentionally set on fire. Wolf was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

While there, Wolf attempted to flee from officers and resisted their efforts to restrain him.

Wolf is charged with second-degree arson, second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny, interfering with police, disorderly conduct, second-degree threatening, and misuse of the 911 system.

Wolf was held on a $50,000 bond.
