Man allegedly wrote checks to Costco from closed checking account

A Bridgeport man was arrested Jan. 12 for allegedly writing nearly $1,700 in bad checks to Costco in Milford.

Police said Jose Reyes, 46, of Bridgeport wrote the checks from a closed account.

He was charged with larceny and issuing bad checks, and was released from police custody on his promise to appear in court Feb. 10.
