Police are reminding people to lock up their cars and take valuables out of them after a string of thefts from cars over the weekend in the Wheelers Farms Road area.
Milford police said they received complaints Sunday about cars broken into overnight on Wheelers Farms Road, Lavery Lane and Dart Hill Road.
“A majority of the vehicles were left unlocked, resulting in money, GPS units and clothing items being taken,” Police Spokesman Jeff Nielsen said.
Police recovered items taken from a vehicle on Lavery Lane inside another vehicle entered on Dart Hill Road.
Police are encouraging residents to secure their vehicles and remove or secure items left inside their vehicle.
