Video of child abuse posted online leads to arrests in Milford

Two Milford residents have been arrested after police investigated a video that was posted online.

Police said they received numerous complaints of the video on May 8 “concerning the safety of the child, which sounded as if the child was being screamed at and hit by an adult.”

The investigation led to two arrest warrants being applied for and then approved.

On Saturday, police arrested Daniel Perez, 33, of Warren Street, charging him with four counts of risk of injury to a minor and second-degree threatening.

Also arrested was Alessandra Sillo, 33, also of Warren Street on two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Both were held on $75,000 bond before appearing in Milford Superior Court on Monday.
