Surprise inspection stops work at 5 massage parlors
Members of the Milford Police Department and the State of Connecticut Department of Labor conducted unannounced inspections of 13 massage parlors throughout Milford on Dec. 6. The Department of Labor found various violations resulting in stop-work orders at five locations.
A stop-work order prohibits the establishments from conducting any type of business until they become compliant with the Connecticut Department of Labor.
The five massage parlors are:
Ginko Health Spa, 552 Boston Post Rd., VIP Health Spa, 232 Boston Post Rd., Merritt Massage, 465 Bridgeport Ave.; Lotus Foot Spa, 67 Turnpike Square, and Salubrious Spa, 517 New Haven Ave.
Police did not provide details of the violations.
