In the early hours of Feb. 26, the Milford Police Department responded to a Snow Apple Lane home on the report of an unresponsive person without a pulse.

Milford Police Officer, Patrolman First Class Paul Mazzara was the first on the scene and, after a quick assessment, began CPR, according to Police Spokesman Joseph Dempsey.

Mazzara continued CPR for about three to five minutes until the Milford Fire Department arrived. “The Milford Fire Department took over for PFC Mazzara and determined that his quick response and effective use of CPR had, in fact, revived the subject and started the heart pumping again,” Dempsey said.

The person was transported to the Emergency Room in stable condition, according to police.
