Police looking for pair that tried to rob Sonic

Milford police are looking for two men who tried to rob Sonic Restaurant July 17.

According to police, at about 8:40 a.m., police responded to Sonic Restaurant at 1365 Boston Post Road on the report of an attempted robbery.

Two men had entered the restaurant and one of them placed an empty bag on the counter. The suspect told the victim to fill the bag with money. The victim then walked away from the register and the suspects left the building without any money and got into a dark colored SUV, police said.

The suspects were described as two black men, both heavy set. One of the men was wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey sweatpants and a red hat. The other man was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a red hat.
