Milford man charged again with indecency
A Milford man was arrested on charges of public indecency this week, the second time he has been charged after allegedly masturbating in public.
On May 24, the Milford Police Department received a report that a man had driven by a group of juveniles while they were playing in the Anchor Beach area. The man then returned and drove by the juveniles again, this time with his driver door open. The juveniles told police they saw the man masturbating in the car, police said.
Dylan DeRosa, 25, of 139 Edgefield Avenue, was quickly developed as a suspect through eyewitness statements and vehicle descriptions, according to a police report.
DeRosa is charged with risk of injury, breach of peace and public indecency. DeRosa was able to post $50,000 bond and will be arraigned in Milford Superior Court on June 21.
DeRosa was arrested in March on similar charges. On March 1 he was allegedly masterbating in a vehicle and asked a passerby for “a hand.”
According to police, officers responded to the area of Beach Avenue and Wall Street at about 10 p.m. that night on a complaint about the man. An investigation led to the arrest of Derosa, who was no longer in the area but was later identified by an eyewitness. The eyewitness told police Derosa had rolled down the window of the vehicle while performing the act and asked, “Hey, can you give me a hand with this?”
Derosa was charged with breach of peace and public indecency. Bond was set at $10,000 after that incident, and he was scheduled to appear in court April 1.
