Milford police arrested a Milford man on Feb. 20 after they received a complaint regarding vandalism that occurred at Peoples Bank on South Broad Street. Police accuse Ernest Novak, 44, of Milford of throwing rocks at the bank, causing damage to two windows valued at $1,000.

Police located Novak, who was identified as the responsible person for the vandalism. Police say that Novak attempted to flee from the officers and became combative with them during his arrest.

While in the booking area of the police department, police say that Novak urinated on the floor. He was also found to be in possession of cocaine.

Novak is charged with second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with police, possession of narcotics, second-degree breach of peace and disorderly conduct.

He was held on a $1,500 bond at the time of his arrest.
