Man charged with forging ex-girlfriend's name on checks

Police charged a Milford man with larceny for allegedly forging the signature of a former girlfriend on her checks and cashing them.

Police said Gary Workman, 63, of 27 Golden Hill Street, is charged with larceny and forgery after being arrested on a warrant.

Workman allegedly forged his former girlfriend’s name between December of 2015 and January of 2016 to cash several checks he made out to himself totaling more than $1,400.

He was released from police custody on his promise to appear in court Oct. 11.
