Man charged with burglarizing home and stealing from Colonial Toyota

Police arrested a man they say burglarized a North Street home in March and took almost $12,000 in automotive supplies from Colonial Toyota, where he worked, between October and March.
According to police, Justino Rivera, 48, of Bridgeport, was arrested on two warrants Monday. The first charged him with burglary 3rd and larceny 3rd, criminal mischief 2nd and larceny 1st for the North Street burglary. Police said Rivera is charged with taking electronics and jewelry valued at about $7,000 from the home.
The second arrest warrant involves an employee theft complaint received on March 9  from Colonial Toyota of Milford. Police said they investigated and issued a warrant for Rivera, who is accused of taking $11,580.56 worth of automotive merchandise from his employer between October 2014 and March 2015.
Rivera is scheduled to appear in court April 14. His bond was set at $125,000.
