Man charged for several MV accidents on way to Keeper's

Milford police arrested a Woodbridge man for DUI on March 26 after they said he repeatedly struck vehicles en route to the Keeper’s Gentleman’s Club located on Woodmont Road.

Police say Kevin Merkle, 54, of Woodbridge was driving a white Chevrolet pick-up truck when he was involved in an accident on Roses Mill Road near Quarry Road. After responding to the scene, officers found the suspect had fled the scene.

While investigating the initial accident scene, officers were notified of two more separate accidents involving a white pick-up, in which the driver had fled the scene.

An eyewitness to the second accident was able to follow the vehicle into the parking lot of Keeper’s and contacted police.

Merkle is charged with DUI, three counts of evading responsibility, improper left turn, failure to drive right and unsafe backing.

Bond was set for $1,000 for court on April 21.
