Man arraigned on charges that he drove getaway car in 2011 bank robbery

A Bridgeport man was arraigned in court this week on charges that he took part in a March 10, 2011 robbery at Citizen’s Bank on Cherry Street.

On Jan. 17, members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force took Daniel Cisiewicz, 19, of Bridgeport into custody regarding an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The Milford Police Department issued the warrant for Cisiewicz’ role in the bank robbery. Investigators had previously arrested Rick Naylor, 21, of Bridgeport by warrant, who was accused of entering the bank, displaying a handgun and fleeing with money in a waiting vehicle. During the investigation, detectives from the Bridgeport and Milford police departments identified Cisiewicz as an accomplice who drove the vehicle from the bank.

Cisiewicz was charged with robbery 1st degree 53a-134, conspiracy to commit robbery 1st degree 53a-48/53a- 134, larceny 1st degree 53a-122 and conspiracy to commit larceny 1st degree 53a-48/53a-122. He was held on a $200,000 bond and arraigned at Milford Superior Court on Jan. 17.
