Police arrested a Milford man Sunday for allegedly stabbing tires of cars in a parking lot near the beach and then biting a person.

Police said the incident took place at 7 p.m. at 175 Broadway. They say Michael Amatrudo, 57, of 358 High Street, was stabbing vehicle tires in a parking lot on Broadway, and also bit a person and threatened to harm others at the scene.

Police say they also located a sword inside Amatrudo's vehicle.

Amatrudo was charged with assault, threatening, criminal mischief, having weapons in a motor vehicle, breach of peace and attempted assault.

He was held in police custody on a $100,000 bond.
