A Bridgeport man was arrested Oct. 6 after he allegedly pulled out a gun at the Westfield mall when a security officer approached him.

Police said the incident took place Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m. at the mall. Donnie Langley, 20, of Bridgeport is accused of shoving and restraining a female he was arguing with. Langley was approached by mall security at which time he displayed a handgun to the security officer and then pushed him as he ran out the mall door, police said.

Langley was located by Milford police shortly thereafter still on mall property and was taken into custody. A .40 caliber handgun was recovered from the wooded area Langley was hiding in.

Langley was charged with threatening, unlawful restraint, carrying a pistol with no permit, interfering with police, resisting arrest and breach of peace.

Bond was set at $25,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court today, Oct. 7.
