Ansonia cop put on leave following domestic arrest in Milford
An Ansonia police officer was placed on administrative leave following a domestic incident in Milford April 24.
Ansonia police said they were notified that Officer Christopher Kelley had been involved in a domestic incident in Milford during the overnight hours, and that Milford police were completing an arrest warrant for Kelley related to the incident.
Kelley turned himself in on April 25 and was released from police custody on a promise to appear in court April 26. He was charged with one count of disorderly conduct.
Kelley was placed on administrative leave from the Ansonia Police Department pending the outcome of the case, according to Ansonia police, who said an internal affairs investigation will be conducted.
Kelley has been with the Ansonia Police Department since July of 2013.
