Colleen Kelly Alexander had always been a biking enthusiast. Her father owned a cycling shop, and he imparted the love of sports and adventure on her.But in 2011, while riding her bicycle home from work in Connecticut, she was hit by a freightliner truck and nearly died.She will speak Saturday at an event in Milford \u2014 the city's Bike Month Finale.The event will include a ribbon cutting for a new bike lane, held at the entrance of Shipyard Lane and Harborside Drive, behind Wilcox Park at 5 p.m. Refreshments and free valet bike parking will be provided compliments of the East Coast Greenway Alliance.Immediately following the ribbon cutting at 6 p.m., Alexander, \u201ca survivor, thriver, motivational speaker, and biking enthusiast\u201d will speak at Milford City Hall.
