Members must be ready at the time of pickup. The drivers will wait five minutes and then must leave due to other pickups. When requesting to be picked up from a doctor's office, seniors should ask the receptionist to call the Transportation Department at the conclusion of the visit at 203-877-5131. Due to the high volume of requests for transportation, the center has had to institute a policy of holding seats for approximately four weeks.
The Senior Center cannot provide transportation if seniors are incapacitated due to recent surgery and if they are using a wheelchair; riders must be able to maneuver the wheelchair without assistance from a driver.
The Milford Senior Center is closed when the Milford Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather. Transportation services are not provided when there is a 90-minute delay due to weather.
