MaryRose Palumbo, Milford Inland Wetland compliance officer, has been named the mayor’s employee of the month for September.

Palumbo was chosen for her strong work ethic, outstanding work performance and teamwork.

Palumbo has been Milford’s Inland Wetland compliance officer for more than 25 years, having begun her employment on March 5, 1991. She is also a member of the pension board as an employee representative.

“MaryRose has been assigned many complex tasks and completes all in an efficient and tactful fashion,” according to a press release announcing the award. “She has the important responsibility of ensuring that all properties are in compliance with the wetlands regulations of the city as well as the related state statutes. MaryRose is recognized for her ability to welcome and assist the public through the entire compliance process with courtesy, respect, empathy and professionalism.”

Co-workers say Palumbo is appreciated by everyone with whom she comes into contact and is a valuable asset to the City of Milford.
