Alexander Armstrong to marry Julia Alcarez
Julia Marie Alcarez, the daughter of A. Patrick and Ellen Alcarez of Meriden, and Alexander James Armstrong, the son of Tom and Cissy Armstrong of Milford, are to be married on Sept. 19 by Father Matthew Bailey at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate in Middletown.
The couple met at Georgetown, from which they graduated.
Alcarez, 27, will keep her name. She is a manager in Washington for The Kenrich Group LLC, a business and litigation consulting firm. She specializes in assessing damages in commercial litigation and government contracts.
The bride's father is an attorney with Butler, Norris & Gold in Hartford, focusing in civil litigation involving injured plaintiffs. The bride's mother is a nurse analyst in information technology for Yale New Haven Hospital.
Armstrong, 28, is a Senior Associate in Washington for SKDKnickerbocker, where he works on strategic communications for issue advocacy campaigns, corporate clients, and Supreme Court cases. He received a master's degree in political science from Yale University, where he was certified with distinction in the field of American politics.
The groom's mother is the assistant to the dean of Saybrook College at Yale University. The groom's father is the corporate communications manager at Tauck World Discovery.
