The annual Children’s Snapper Derby held in mid-September attracted a number of young anglers, and three top winners.
The top three winners were Jack Frieman with a catch of fish weighing in at 1.57 pounds, Aidan Engles with 1.42 pounds, and Ally Gordon with 1.44 pounds. The weights represent a combined total of five fish under 10 inches.
The annual Children's Snapper Derby is sponsored by the City of Milford and the Milford Sport Fishing Association, and is open to any child 15 years old and under.
