Irish music session, Thursday, June 20

P.V. O'Donnell Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann traditional Irish music session. Fiddler Cate Sandstrom will join the P.V. O’Donnell Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann traditional Irish music session  at St. Gabriel’s Church Hall, 26 Broadway. The free session starts at 7:45 p.m. BYOB. Art and fairies, Thursday, June 20/Fairy Frolic, June 21

Art Stroll in Walnut Beach and Alfas on Naugatuck Avenue will be hosting an art opening celebrating the new monthly show, showcasing Fairies and all things mythical/magical/mystical, in conjunction with the Fairy Frolic, which will take place the following night in Walnut Beach, June 21, from 5-7 p.m., on the summer solstice.  There will be food, music by Gene "Geno" Grenier, who plays an eclectic and electric mix of rock, blues and originals, and art  — with the artists on hand to meet/greet.

Family movie night, June 21

June is the last Family Movie Night until September. June 21st is our Ice Cream Social, followed by How To Train Your Dragon – The Hidden World. The United Church of Christ in Devon is located at 30 Ormond St., in the Devon section of Milford. Enter through the door at the left corner of the building on Pequot Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., for the Ice Cream Social. Admission is $4. The free movie follows and includes unlimited free popcorn. Seating is 'cabaret style'. Debit/Credit cards will be accepted for payment. Mobility accessible.

Golf Tournament benefit Monday, June 24

Montano Distributors will hold their third annual charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Milford. It will be held at the Grassy Hill Country Club. If you can't join for the golf, but would still like to support the event or join for dinner and the raffle, you can purchase tickets to the dinner only.

Stratford Band concert, July 11

The Stratford Community Concert Band will present a concert at the Paradise Green Gazebo in Stratford at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 9. The rain date is Thursday, July 11.

Wayne Hiller is the conductor and musical director of the Band, now in its 58th year. The Stratford Band will present original musical programs featuring familiar music arranged in the Swing Style by Hiller.  Ample parking is available around the Green and there is no admission for this concert. Attendees should bring folding chairs or blankets for their comfort.

Law class of ‘69 50th reunion, Sept. 20

Jonathan Law class of 1969 50th reunion kicks off on Friday, Sept. 20 with a meet and greet, followed by a school tour and main reunion on Saturday, Sept. 21 and a brunch on Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Riverview Bistro, 946 Ferry Blvd., Stratford.
