Church rummage sale — The United Congregational Church, 877 Park Ave., (corner of State Street), in Bridgeport, will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, June 1, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Sunday, June 2, noon-4 p.m. The rummage sale will include: Clothes and shoes, linens and housewares, books and jewelry, children’s and baby clothing.

Tag sale and more — Milford Elks will hold a tag sale on June 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Father’s Day Brunch June 16 from 8 to 11 a.m., $10, and a block party Aug. 24, 7 to 11 p.m. with the Rumrunners playing. All at the Elks Lodge.

Musical theater — Eight-week summer musical theater program available to Milford youth. Children will be given a role in an original script, learn original choreography, and study basic theater disciplines. Efforts will culminate with performances for the public. Vendors needed — Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut is seeking silent auction items and theme gift baskets for its 12th Annual Clambake fundraiser on June 6 at Costa-Azzurra Restaurant. Chairpersons are Karen Mercer of Trumbull and Patty Merola of Milford. The event, set for 6:30-9:30 p.m., will feature a choice of entrees for dinner, beverages, including wine, as well as a silent auction and raffle. Contributors will be acknowledged in the event program book. Bottle drive — Jonathan Law Marching Band & Color Guard will hold a can and bottle drive on the third Saturday of every month, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Jonathan Law parking lot.
