Operation Hope's annual golf outing takes swing to end hunger and homelessness

Golfers participating in Operation Hope’s annual Golf Outing at The Country Club of Fairfield, 936 Sasco Hill Road, on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 10-8,  will take a swing to help end homelessness and hunger in the community. The invitation to play individually or as part of a foursome is open, and opportunities for business and individual sponsorships are available and welcomed. All proceeds will go directly to Operation Hope’s work of ending hunger and homelessness, one person at a time. To register, visit http://bit.ly/ohgolf2015 or contact Paula Morthanos at pmorthanos@operationhopect.org, 203-292-5588.
Regarded as one of the best courses in the country, The Country Club of Fairfield offers an unmatched venue, with beautiful views of the Long Island Sound. Golfers will enjoy eighteen holes of golf, along with a delicious lunch, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, carving stations, awards and an auction.
“Whether you’re a scratch player or you can barely drive, everyone is invited to participate,” says Golf Outing Co-Chair, Michael Fucigna. “We’re all in this together, to take on the challenge of a wonderful course and support Operation Hope’s mission at the same time.” Golf Outing Co-Chair Ab Ingram continues, “Funds raised will directly impact families and individuals in our community, providing desperately needed shelter, food and other services. Every player and sponsor will be proud to have been able to make a difference in someone’s life.”
The Operation Hope Golf Committee is comprised of several Board members, Alex Trembicki, Phil Palmieri, Robert Moriarty, Mark Potter, Polly Lynch, Maryann Donovan, Jennifer O’Neill, and Committee Co-Chairs, Michael Fucigna and Ab Igram.
This year’s Golf Outing is presented by Title Sponsor Webster Bank. Beltone Hearing Aid Centers is the Lunch Sponsor, Integrated Print Solutions (IPS) is the Cocktail Reception Sponsor, and Angel Commercial is a Cart Sponsor. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. “On behalf of our clients, men, women and children, who don’t know where their next meal is coming from, or have no place to stay, we are thankful for our sponsors and friends. We welcome anyone who would like to join us for an unsurpassed day of golf and giving back, all in support of Operation Hope and the critical services provided to our neighbors in need,” says Carla Miklos, Executive Director, Operation Hope.
