Milford residents taking part in Square One’s final producation of the season

Square One Theatre's final production of its 24th Anniversary Season is Olive and the Bitter Herbs by the Tony nominated playwright Charles Busch, described by Associated Press as “A colorful, sweet-and-sour dish, laced with plenty of laughs."

Directed by Tom Holehan, Olive and the Bitter Herbs, opens Friday, May 16 and continues Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Saturday, May 31 at Square One Theatre's home base, the Stratford Theatre located at 2422 Main Street in Stratford.

Olive and the Bitter Herbs is a hilarious and wacky comedy about connecting to the people in our lives — those with us and those who have passed on. Set in New York City, Olive and the Bitter Herbs details the evolving relationships among the embittered Jewish actor Olive, her slightly demented caregiving friend Wendy, two bickering gay neighbors and the twice widowed Sylvan.

Jim Buffone previously appeared in Square One's production of Black Tie for which he won the Square One Subscriber Award for Outstanding Featured Actor.
