An estimated 29 million Americans, or nearly 10% of the population, are living with diabetes and it is anticipated that an additional 1.5 million Americans will be diagnosis during the year.
On Thursday, March 26, Milford Hospital will host a free community education program “Diabetes:  After the Diagnosis” for those who are newly diagnosed or living with diabetes.
Registered dietitian and diabetes educator Maureen Devlin will present the program. During her discussion,  Devlin will discuss the facts on managing diabetes including: Making healthy choices, eating well and keeping blood sugar under control.
The session begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Milford Hospital Auditoriums, 300 Seaside Avenue.  Registration is required and seating is limited. Call the Milford Hospital Community Education Department 203-876-4004 to reserve a seat.
