Walnut Beach Halloween At 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Walnut Beach Creamery, 17 Broadway, there will be a costume party, face painting, music and a pumpkin party: Bring a carved pumpkin to light the way. Trick or Treat at Downs House The Milford Preservation Trust is opening the Minuteman House (aka John Downs House) at 139 North Street for trick or treaters on Oct. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. Trick or treaters dressed as 18th or 19th Century people such as George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, Clara Barton, Sitting Bull, Frederick Douglas, Tecumseh or Harriet Tubman will receive prizes from the Trust. One does not have to wear an historical outfit to be welcome at the House. The Native American War Clubs will be on display for folks to see. Trick or Treat at the mall The Connecticut Post Mall in Milford will host its annual safe trick-or-treating event for families on Monday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. Children 12 and under are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes for an evening of trick or treating at participating stores. After trick or treating, there will be \u2018spooky\u2019 entertainment with a live DJ at the Center Court.
