Rep. James Maroney (D-Orange, Milford) helped Bridges of Milford, a mental health agency, participate in the Connecticut Readiness Incubator Conference.

The Nonprofit Finance Fund, with support from the Rockefeller Foundation, is providing readiness conferences in five areas across the country, including Connecticut, to help organizations improve their financing practices.

“This was a tremendous opportunity to learn more about performance based financing,” Rep. Maroney said. “We must learn to do more with less, especially in this fiscal climate, in order to provide better services more efficiently.”

“We are so grateful that Rep Maroney identified this training and flagged it for us,” said Barry Kasdan, President & CEO of Bridges of Milford. “Bridges was one of 13 non-profits selected. We will now have eight hours of training/consultation from the Nonprofit Finance Fund and anticipate this will stimulate major changes in how we operate in a new and rapidly changing healthcare nonprofit environment.”
