People have until noon Saturday to buy tickets for the annual lobster bake, which is Saturday evening.

The 40th annual Milford Rotary Lobster bake is set for 3:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday July 23, at Milford Boat Works, 1 High St., Milford, rain or shine. A raffle and commemorative T-shirt sale will be featured.

“The Lobster Bake has become a Milford tradition,” said Lobster Bake chair Win Smith.  “It provides an opportunity for more people to get together and for the community to learn more about Rotary. This event raises significant funds for Milford Rotary, which are returned to the community through the many scholarships and donations that we make, as well as supporting our regional and international efforts, such as to eradicate polio globally. The Lobster Bake lets the community see how much fun we have while putting ‘Service Above Self’.”

Milford Rotarians and their volunteer helpers will serve each guest either two 1 ½ - pound lobsters or a juicy steak and corn on the cob, cole slaw and all the trimmings including wine, beer and soda. Proof of age is required.

Tickets at $50 each can be purchased at Milford Bank on Broad Street and Milford Photo. Tickets for children are also available for $5, which includes a hot dog and an ear of corn. No tickets will be sold at the door. Proceeds benefit Milford Rotary charitable endeavors.
