Input welcome on community development funds

The City of Milford, Department of Community Development is requesting public participation and comment from residents and public agencies to prepare the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2015-2020 Five-Year Consolidated Strategic Plan.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that Milford's 2015-16 CDBG entitlement grant allocation for the Program Year 41 is $434,013.
The city invites not-for-profit organizations with eligible activities that assist at least 51% low to moderate income people in Milford to apply for funds.
The application deadline is Friday, March 13, by 5 p.m. in the Department of Community Development, Parsons Government Complex, 70 W. River Street, 2nd floor.
The Department of Community Development will hold two public hearings — Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m. and Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of the Parsons Government Complex, 70 West River Street.
