The Milford Hospital Volunteer Services Department will offer a New Volunteer Orientation Session on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Auditorium B.

Hospital staff will provide a description of current volunteer opportunities and the requirements for volunteering. In addition, hospital policies and procedures will be reviewed.

This session is designed for adult volunteers (age 18 and over) only. All prospective volunteers are required to participate in this session prior to service.

Volunteers serve throughout all areas of Milford Hospital. Upon completion of an orientation session and a personal interview with the volunteer services staff, new volunteers are assigned a position based upon their skills, talents and interests and the needs of the hospital.

Currently, the greatest need is for those individuals who have a few late afternoon, evening or weekend hours working in the gift shop, the information desk, as an emergency room receptionist or emergency room inside aide or in the Walk-in Center on the Post Road.

For more information or to register, call 203-876-4062. Space is limited for the orientation.
