Golf Classic wil benefit Milford Hospital

The 7th Annual Milford Hospital Golf Classic will be held on Friday, Sept. 26 at the Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane in Woodbridge.

The event is presented in partnership with Anthem BlueCross BlueShield of Connecticut, Carmody Torrance Sandak and Hennessy LLC, Beirne Wealth Consulting, Napoli Motors and several other community businesses and supporters.

As one of Milford Hospital’s largest fundraising events, proceeds from the tournament will enable the hospital to better serve patients by funding infrastructure and program improvements.

The Golf Classic kicks off at 11:30 a.m. with a pre-golf barbecue luncheon, practice on the driving range and a putting contest.

Shotgun start will follow at 1 p.m. There will be a scramble format with multiple on-course contests, followed by a cocktail reception, dinner and awards ceremony.

Each player will also receive a gift and group photo.  Registration deadline is Sept. 17.  Fee is $200 per person or $600 per foursome, and space is limited.

Highlights of the day’s festivities include the opportunity to win one of four hole-in-one prizes including a new car sponsored by Napoli Motors.

In addition, the post golf dinner and awards ceremony will include a silent auction and raffle featuring sports memorabilia, overnight hotel stays, jewelry, golf outings and accessories and other items. Dinner only guests are welcome to join.

“We are extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors, players and volunteers who help to make this tournament a success year after year,” said Joseph Pelaccia, president and CEO of Milford Hospital.   “Proceeds from events such as this provide important funding for us to remain at the forefront in providing technologically advanced, safe and effective healthcare to our patients and the community.”
