The Devon Rotary Club recently announced a special campaign to celebrate and highlight the club’s golden anniversary — 50 years of service to the Milford community.
The celebration campaign will highlight the Devon Rotary Club’s 50 top accomplishments, as follows:

1.     Donates dictionaries to 3rd graders.

2.     Donates dictionaries to the Literacy Volunteers of Southern CT.

3.     Donates books to Literacy Volunteers of Southern CT.

4.     Donates $20,000 scholarship funds to local high school seniors.

5.     Participates in the Boys and Girls Club dodgeball event.

6.     Sponsor of Pumpkins of the Pier.

7.     Serves lunch every month to Beth El Shelter.

8.     Funded the renovation of the Fanny Beach Community Center: total project cost was $5,000

9.     Supported a Girl Scout Gold Award project.

10.  Supported Boy Scout Eagle Projects.

11.  Built the Devon Rotary Pavilion at Walnut Beach.

12.  Rebuilt the flagpole on Milford Green.

13.  Restored Liberty Rock and constructed Historical Park.

14.  Stocked the Milford Children’s Trout Derby.

15.  Sponsor fishing contest.

16.  Sponsor the Harlem Wizards basketball at JLHS.

17.  Hosts annual Milford’s Oktoberfest.

18.  Donates hot chocolate and cookies at the Milford Tree Lighting.

19.  Supported the Rape Crisis Center

20.  Sponsors and participates in the St. Patrick’s Parade.

21.  Sponsors 4 high school students with Service Above Self Award.

22.  Sponsored Bridge’s Folks on Spokes.

23.  Donated funds to support the Youth and Family Sneaker Fund.

The Devon Rotary of Milford is a group of area business professionals who volunteer time to raise money through annual fundraising.
