A holiday tradition: Celebration of Trees starts Dec. 2

Over the past 21 years, the Milford Hospital Celebration of Trees has become a holiday tradition for the people of Milford and surrounding communities.

During the 10-day event from Dec. 2 through 11,  more than 2,000 visitors are expected to stroll through the Milford Hospital lobby and balcony areas to view and take a chance on winning one of the themed trees, gift baskets, displays and other items on display.

In addition to the trees and traditional holiday items, this year’s event will feature a variety of prizes donated by local business leaders and community organizations including: a Mohegan Sun Getaway, a New York City getaway complete with limousine service, electronics for the home and more.

Highlights of the Celebration of Trees include a variety of activities and entertainment beginning with “kids day” on Saturday, Dec. 2. The day’s events start at noon with lunch with Santa Claus followed by entertainment with Tony the Balloon Man. Tickets are $5 per child, $7 per adult. Reservations are required and space is limited.
