WOODBRIDGE \u2014 The Board of Assessment Appeals of the Town of Woodbridge will be holding their annual appeal meetings Monday, March 3, 6 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday, March 5, 6 to 9 p.m.; and Saturday, March 8, 9 a.m. to noon. The meetings will be held at the Town Hall to hear appeals relating to assessments for Real Property & Business Personal Property on the Grand List of Oct. 1, 2013. All persons claiming to be aggrieved by the actions of the Assessor on said list are hereby warned to make their written appeal to said Board by Feb. 20. Written applications are Mandatory, no appeal will be heard without one. Applications may be obtained from the Assessor\u2019s office Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All original applications must be filled out and returned to the Assessor\u2019s office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 20. All persons filing proper applications shall be notified by March 1 of the day, time and place of their appeal hearing. You must appear in person or you must send a duly authorized representative who must bring evidence of authorization & their own personal I.D. If you are appealing the assessed value of your property you must present documents as evidence in support of your claim or an appraiser\u2019s analysis of your property value based on 2009 (the revaluation year) comparable sales. Comparable sales are those of similar style, size and location and must be from the year 2009.
