MILFORD — The city website, www.ci.milford.ct.us, has a new look. The redesigned platform is easier to navigate, the city said in a written release. Users have “one-stop” access for locations such as Frequently Asked Questions, Business Information, and Online Services. This is the first major upgrade since the original site went live in November 2000. The work was done by the city’s MIS employees. The site is an “important hub of information and a critical link between city operations and our residents,” said Mayor Benjamin G. Blake. New residents and visitors will often form their first impression of the city by looking at the site, Blake said. “Since it’s been said that ‘There’s never a second chance to make a good first impression,’ a first-class web presence is vital,” Blake said. Residents may sign up for “E-Alerts” sent through the city’s emergency messaging system. A version of the site is also available for smartphones.
