Discover some of Milford\u2019s talent June 11 when the Milford Public Library celebrates Milford\u2019s authors in honor of the city\u2019s 375th anniversary. Writers from the community will share their works, including a children\u2019s author who creates and writes about crossword puzzles, a romance writer, an author of classic car books and more. The event will run from 5-8 p.m. Throughout the library, authors will be arranged at various tables, ready to sign books, share some insights, or talk about the writing process. A fitness author plans to lead participants around the library for a gentle workout. In the Children\u2019s Department, families will have the opportunity to create puzzles with professional puzzlemaker and Nutmeg Award nominated author of the \u201cWinston Breen\u201d series, Eric Berlin. Janet Lawler, author of \u201cIf Kisses Were Colors\u201d and \u201cTyrannoclaus\u201d invites all to join her in a fishing game to celebrate her new book, \u201cOcean Counting,\u201d published by National Geographic. Bonnie Feuer, author of \u201cGoliath\u2019s Secret\u201d and Michelle Hydeck, author of \u201cWings Up,\u201d which was the recipient of a Purple Dragon Book Award, and many other authors will also be present to share their books and experiences about the writing process and getting published. For those in our community who are aspiring writers, there will be a \u201cliterary slam\u201d hosted by the Milford Writer\u2019s Group. People may bring unpublished work and read a little of it. Participating authors include: Joseph Carvalko, Michael Dooling, Patrick Foster, John Gilmore, Linda Gottlieb, Michelle Hydeck, Frank Juliano, Dorothy Ricci, the Walnut Beach\/Myrtle Beach Historical Society, Joan Wolf, Michael Wood, Eric Berlin and Janet Lawler.
